Engagement Not Enragement

To engage someone in understanding,
Is a good thing to do on any day,
To enrage someone without communication,
Just complicates matters in every way.

Engagement can be very positive,
It matters why and how it is done,
The purpose should be for clarity,
It is wrong to use for hurting someone.
Some people may not desire to engage,
They may not want to dialogue at all,
Yet after honest engagement happens,
The walls of unforgiveness begin to fall.

Some people may and do not listen well,
Or even agree with the words you speak,
Truthfulness will exceed the test of time,
The result may be two minds that meet.
Try engagement instead of enragement,
Take the time to encourage one another,
We can daily choose to make a difference
In Jesus Christ, we are sisters and brothers.
